Therapy should be real, not robotic—and definitely not a TED Talk in disguise. Whether you’re walking in with a decade of therapy under your belt or googling “Do I need a therapist or just a nap?”, you’re welcome here. Sessions with me are collaborative, grounded, and unapologetically human. Sweatpants? Encouraged. Tears and laughter in the same hour? Totally normal.
I work with clients of all ages, offering individual, family, and couples therapy. I specialize in ADHD, all types of anxiety, trauma, and family dynamics. My approach is direct, authentic, and rooted in relationship. I believe therapy should be useful—you should leave every session with something, whether it’s insight, a new skill, or a sarcastic one-liner that helps untangle the mental mess.
I’ve spent over a decade providing community-based and school-based mental health services, and I carry that systems lens into everything I do. Alongside my clinical work, I provide clinical supervision for pre-licensed therapists and serve as an adjunct instructor, both of which let me geek out about ethics, boundaries, and the kind of therapy that actually helps people.
As co-founder of Birch & Pine Counseling, I’ve helped create a practice that’s built on integrity, transparency, and showing up as your authentic self—even on the days when you’re feeling more coffee than clarity.
When I’m not in session, I’m probably outside, wrangling three enormous Great Danes, or spending time with the people who make me laugh the hardest—my family. Daisy, one of the Danes, occasionally joins me at the office to offer unsolicited emotional support and stare deeply into your soul.
If you’re looking for a therapist who brings equal parts clinical skill and “okay, let’s be real” energy—you’ve found her. Bonus: I already like you for reading this far.
