Kolby Barney is a graduate clinical intern from The College of Saint Scholastica's MSW program, where he also earned his BA in Social Work. With seven years of experience working in a residential treatment center, Kolby has spent four of those years as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), guiding clients through their recovery journeys.
Kolby adopts a person-centered approach, prioritizing the unique needs of each individual. He strives to create a comfortable and safe space where clients can openly share their life experiences. Kolby has experience working with adults and Indigenous populations, and has training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT).
Outside of his professional life, Kolby enjoys the great outdoors. In his spare time, you can find him fishing, hiking, snowboarding, and spending quality time with loved ones.
